The Springs At Simpsonville Resident Spotlight Of July

Ann – Resident of the Month

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The Springs at Simpsonville’s resident of the month goes to Ann! Ann is originally from Ashwood South Carol, near Bishopville, attended Ashwood Central School for grades 1-12. She moved to Mauldin in the early 1960s after marrying her husband George on May 17th, 1953. George and Ann have been a longstanding member of First Baptist Church of Mauldin.

Ann has three children, five grandchildren, and SIX great-grandchildren. She is particularly proud of her family and most of her favorite memories are times they all shared together. George worked as a District Manager for Woodmen of the World Insurance, and their family would travel all over the country for the conventions they had in the summertime. Ann remembers one time they took a car trip all the way to California and back! It was an adventure for the whole family! They were all glad to be home and out of the car after a 6,000-mile road trip.

Ann sold Avon products for a number of years and earned many awards throughout her time with the company. Ann moved to The Springs at Simpsonville a little over three years ago for respite care. She loved her experience here so much, she decided to become a permanent resident and we are so glad that she did! Her one piece of life advice she would give to someone if they asked would be to always be nice and love your family! Her family has been her greatest treasure in life and she is so grateful for her time with them.
